Sulha at the Woodstock for Peace

The Sulha circles that we held as part of the Woodstock for Peace event were very moving. We met with about twenty Palestinians from East Jerusalem who came with the help of the Sulha movement to listening circles where we talked about the concerns and the hope in the hearts of each and every one of us.

It was different from the happy atmosphere that prevailed on the dance floors. There was a lot of pain in the circles. But it was so important to be able to talk about the pain of both peoples, and despite everything, to express a longing for peace and to plant hope in the hearts.
