Sulhita

Sulhita is a unique program designed to foster meaningful connections and cultivate a shared vision of peace between young Palestinians and Israelis in their 20s and 30s.

Recognizing the critical role of this generation in shaping the future, Sulhita provides a safe and inclusive space for:

  • Deep Dialogue: Participants engage in facilitated conversations exploring shared experiences, challenging deeply held assumptions, and building empathy across the political divide.

  • Collaborative Projects: Jointly develop and implement projects that address shared challenges and foster positive social change. This could involve social activism, restorative justice, or environmental initiatives.

  • Cultural Immersion: Participate in cultural exchange activities, such as home visits, language exchanges, and shared meals, to deepen understanding and appreciation for each other's cultures and traditions.

  • Leadership Development: Develop leadership skills and empower participants to become agents of peace within their communities and beyond.

Key Features of Sulhita:

  • Focus on Action: Emphasis on tangible projects that create positive impact and demonstrate the power of collaboration.

  • Peer-to-Peer Learning: Participants learn from each other's experiences, perspectives, and challenges.

  • Mentorship and Support: Experienced peacebuilders and community leaders provide guidance and support throughout the program.

  • Long-Term Impact: Building sustainable relationships and fostering a network of young peacebuilders who will continue to work towards a more just and equitable future.

Sulhita aims to create a lasting legacy of peace by empowering a new generation of leaders to bridge divides, build trust, and work towards a future where Israelis and Palestinians can live together in peace and dignity.

“People fail to get along because they fear each other; they fear each other because they don’t know each other; they don’t know each other because they have not communicated with each other.”
